Text messaging works very similarly to email
Users can sign up for an anonymous email address and send threatening and unwanted emails to people as long as they know the email address to send to. Text messaging works the same way. We can't help you locate where the text message came from.
Unfortunately we are not knowledgeable in this area to give you any advice. If you feel this is a criminal matter, please contact your local authorities.
